Dear friends, despite the still complicated period, our organizational machine cannot stop, and we keep working for the 2021 edition of the Acoustic Guitar Village within Cremona Musica International Exhibitions and Festival, that will be held in September 24th to 26th. An exceptional edition that will combine the show in presence with the new digital modalities and the experience in the city center characterized last year’s Special Edition with great success. A path more and more in the line of the idea of “Festival”, an event able to involve both exhibitors and the public in an exhaustive and satisfactory way, from a commercial point of view as well as for training, passion and fun.
Obviously we will not be caught unprepared in case of a further delay due to the persistence of the pandemic. Our desire to keep working it’s exactly what brought up to life the last edition of Cremona Musica in a completely new format. The event has focused more on cultural events, as well as on the digital business component offering numerous virtual activities. However, the mission of Cremona Musica has remained the same: to make known the masterpieces of violin making, bring together producers of musical instruments and potential customers, all while allowing everyone to enjoy great music. It was beautiful, tiring and appreciated, but it certainly was not our usual event made up of meetings, smiles, hugs, handshakes and lots of live music that we want to get back as soon as possible.
We have strong hope that at the end of September the pandemic situation will be better, and that the economy will be able to restart with a new momentum. Because that’s what we all need, especially in the musical instruments sector. We will be ready, combining the show in presence over the three days with digital showcases and live music events in the stages outside the pavilions and in the city center.
In order to share the strong desire to meet again and the positive thinking that characterizes us, as well as the need to relaunch the music sector, we want to share our programming and involve you right from the start to be able to to provide a service that meets your expectations.
For this reason, we invite interested exhibitors to contact us to find together the best stands and confirm their presence in the Acoustic Guitar Village.
For companies and luthiers who have renewed or sent the new 2021 application form for registration and paid the advances, we remind you that, if the event won’t unfortunately be held in presence, , the amount will be returned or, optionally, kept for the 2022 edition.
The cultural and entertainment part within the AGV is under construction, with the confirmation of the lutherie and guitar playing Masterclasses with the masters John Monteleone, Lorenzo Lippi, Enrico Bottelli, Francesco Buzzuro, Ed Gerhard – of the Historical Exhibitions, curated by the master luthier Leonardo Petrucci, of the “Cremona Mandolini in Mostra” event with the direction of the virtuoso Carlo Aonzo and the cultural consultancy of the master luthier Lorenzo Frignani, of the 8th “Italian Bluegrass Meeting”, coordinated by Danilo Cartia, of “Corde & Voci d’Autore“, coordinated by Andrea Tarquini, as well as of all the other shows and performances that will take place on the four stages inside and outside the AGV.
There will also be a special area dedicated to collections of vintage instruments in collaboration with the Vintage Authority organization.
Spring will be dedicated to the selections for the competition reserved for the emerging “New Sounds of Acoustic Music“, a historic appointment that, since its inception at the Sarzana meeting, has been a springboard for many acoustic guitarists now established and in full swing. The final will take place during the AGV.
While waiting to finally meet again in person, we wish you a future full of optimism, desire to relaunch, as well as many new and profitable opportunities.
Best wishes
